Clos Apalta Red Blend

Clos Apalta Red Blend is the flagship wine of Domaines Bournet-Lapostolle, born in 1997 as the iconic expression of the family's Apalta Valley estate in Colchagua, Chile. Carmenère-dominant Bordeaux-style blend from one of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère vineyards in the world — originally planted around 1915 using a unique French massal selection.

The Apalta Valley near Santa Cruz was selected by a visionary planter in the 1910s for its exceptional terroir. In 1994, Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet acquired the property with the ambition to produce an exceptional wine and pave the way for the qualitative development of Chilean fine wines. Shaping the vineyard foot by foot and building a state-of-the-art gravity-fed winery, the family made Clos Apalta one of the most iconic wines in South America.

• Appearance: Deep garnet — reflecting the intense color of Carmenère grapes
